Mustangs are American muscle cars which many motoring enthusiasts love to own. In the film Bullitt, starring Steve McQueen, his character, a detective who is tough and skilled behind the wheel, drives a classic black mustang. Many people buy Mustangs for that particular reason. In a similar way people buy classic Aston Martin's like the one Sean Connery drove as James Bond in Goldfinger. Of course, in order to drive a mustang you need a driving licence. By taking driving lessons on a young driver scheme you can learn the ins and outs of driving, staying safe before eventually being able to afford a great muscle car. Steve McQueen and Sean Connery both had to learn how to drive at some point.
Getting great accessories for your Mustang is very popular. From rocker panel stripes, door still inserts, rear bumper vinyl inserts and so on, customising your mustang is great. You could also buy t-shirts and other personal accessories so everyone knows you are a Mustang driver. You could look very smooth in a Mustang t-shirt while having your driving lessons pershore if not a little peculiar because it is unlikely you will learn to drive in a Mustang.

The Mustang was also featured in the film Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift where the central character: Sean, a young American, moves to Japan and learns to drift race. He eventually learns to race well enough to take on the Drift King, an aggressive but skilled Japanese racer, who murders one of Sean's friends. Sean is given a mustang by his mentor and beats D.K. in the finale of the film. The Fast and the Furious film series is known for elaborate car customisations and one of the stars, Michelle Rodrigeuz, actually learned to drive specifically for the first film's production.
In the film Murder by Numbers, Ryan Gosling drives the same model of mustang as Steve McQueen did in Bullitt. He stated in interviews that McQueen is a favourite of his and so the car was a homage to him. Gosling then bought the car itself after the production had finished. Years later he would star in Drive, a film about a getaway driver.
